Aardvark, Inc. is pleased to announce that developer Eric Siebeneck has been awarded a "Gimme Some Skin" award from Microsoft, Inc. and Adobe Systems Incorporated. The award recognizes developer skills in developing "skins" or player interfaces that engage users with added functionality using Adobe design software to unleash their creative freedom in designing graphically rich skins for Windows Media Player 7 that feature photographs, animations, original illustrations and streaming video.
Entries were judged by a celebrity panel that included technology journalist Elliot Van Buskirk; Steve Harwell, lead singer of Smash Mouth; and Russell Brown, design guru and senior creative director at Adobe.
Lynn Child, CEO of Aardvark, Inc. said, "We’re very proud of Eric’s work, and its reflection on both Aardvark and on Eric personally. Eric is a talented and creative individual, and he makes a great contribution to the Aardvark team."
"Eric's entry immediately caught the judges' attention," said Matt Davidson, senior editor at Adobe.com. "It was well designed, and the graphics and programming demonstrated a clear understanding of the format."
